이번 달 핫트랙스 원고를 작업하면서 오아시스(Oasis)의 신보 [Dig Out Your Soul]을 운좋게도 미리 들을 수 있었다. 앨범에 대한 평가... 좋다... 아주 좋다....라고 말할 수 있다. 하지만 오아시스에게서 여전히 비틀즈의 곡조를 기대하는 팬들에게는 좋은 반응을 얻을지는 장담 못한다. 이미 그들은 데뷔 때의 사운드에 고정되기를 어느 정도 거부했고, 이를 이번 앨범에서는 지향하면서도 매력있는 곡을 만들어냈기 때문이다.

하지만, 역으로 1,2,3집때의 대표곡이 그리울 때도 가끔은 있다. 그래서, 오늘 우연히 오아시스 노래좀 들을까... 해서 imeem을 뒤지다가 <Stand By Me>의 어쿠스틱 라이브 버전을 골랐다. 개인적으로는 갤러거 형제가 만든 최고의 '사랑노래'라고 생각한다. 그들의 곤조가 그대로 박혀있는데도 가사가 느낌에 팍 와닿는 이들의 노래이기 때문이다.
