Gary Moore - I love You More Than You'll Ever Know

[Still Got The Blues] 앨범으로 자신의 과거 음악에서 탈피, 블루스 탐구에 나섰던 게리 무어(Gary Moore)는 그 블루스를 어줍잖게 일렉트로니카와 접목하려는 시도를 했다가 그들의 기존 팬들마저 떠나보내는 악수를 90년대 말에 두었다. 그리고 나서, 결국 [Back to the Blues]로 다시 기점으로 돌아온 그가 최근에 발표한 신보 [Bad For You Baby]는 오히려 다시 이제는 자신의 70년대 하드 록과 블루스 필을 접목하려는 것이 아닌가 싶은 사운드를 타이틀 트랙부터 들려주고 있다. 그 가운데 타이틀 트랙과 함꼐 귀를 사로잡았던 트랙이 바로 블러드 스웻 앤 티어스(Blood, Sweat & Tears)의 버전으로 국내 올디스 팬들에게 여전히 사랑받는 고전 [I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know]다. 물론 게리 무어의 보컬이 원곡의 그 끓어오르는 소울을 채워주지 못한다는 단점이 있지만, 기존에 [Parisenne Walkways]나 [Still Got The Blues]를 좋아했을 게리무어 팬들에겐 오랜만에 추억을 되새길 만한 곡의 역할을 할 것 같아 포스팅해본다.
