어젯 밤 잠이 들때, 그리고 오늘 아침 눈을 떴을 때의 느낌으로만 얘기하자면,
새해가 왔다라는 것이 그렇게 반갑지만은 않다... 한 살 더 늙어간다는 이유는 결코 아니다....
새해에 세상에서 벌어질 것 같은 일들을 생각하면,
오히려 기대보다는 암울함이 밀려들어오기 때문이라고 해야할까?
그러나, 내 일이 당장 달라지는 것은 아무것도 없기에...... 정신을 차려야 겠다....
2009년... 분명히 달라지겠지만.... 누구 말대로 바짝 엎드려야 할 시기라지만....
다시 일어설 때를 위해 힘을 충전해 놓아야 할 때라고 생각하자.
비록 보노는 이 노래에서 '새해 첫 날에도 아무것도 변하지 않았네."라고 노래하고 있지만,
변화하지를 바라지 않는 이들은 이런 말도 하지 않기에.... 난 이 가사가 맘에 든다..
