Craig David - Insomnia

얼마 전 2월에 발매될 이 곡이 실린 크렉 데이빗(Craig David)의 베스트 앨범 [Greatest Hits]의 해설지를 썼다. 그의 4집 [Trust Me]에 이어 이 친구만 두 번째 쓰게 된다. 나중에 발매되면 해설지 글은 올리겠지만, 이번 베스트 앨범에 담긴 신곡들은 과거보다 더 클럽 댄스 뮤직 지향이 강하다. 그리고, 이 곡 <Insomnia>를 들으면 들을 수록 그 비트와 리듬감에서 (떠올리기 싫어도) 자꾸 빅 뱅 아그들의 히트곡들이 자꾸 떠오른다... 물론 이런 트렌드와 비트는 영국이 먼저라는 건 당연한데, 느낌이 비슷해서일 것이다. 그래도 잘 들어보면 왜 귤이 회수를 건너면 탱자가 되는지에 대한 이유를 발견할 수 있으리라. 훅만으로 노래가 완성되는 것은 아니기에.
