몇 개월 전부터 계속 음반 릴리즈 계획에 등단했었으나, 왠지 모르게 계속 미뤄져왔었던 에이머리(Amerie)의 4번째 정규 앨범(그런데 미국 시장에는 지난 2007년 앨범 [Because I Love It]이 이해하기 힘든 이유로 정식 발매되지 않고 수입판과 월마트 버전으로만 공개되었기에 미국인들에겐 정규 3집으로 인식될 수도 있겠다.) [In Love & War]는 이미 첫 싱글로 지난 6월 말에 [Why R U]를, 두 번째 싱글로 [Heard Em' All]을 선공개되었다. 소니 뮤직을 떠나 유니버설 데프 잼(Def Jam)으로 이적한 후 처음 발표하는 작품이기도 한데, 아직까지 온라인 공개한 이 2곡의 차트에서의 성적은 썩 좋지 않다. (팝 싱글 차트에는 명함을 못내밀었다.) 과연 트레이 송즈(Trey Songz)가 피쳐링한 세 번째 노래 [Pretty Brown]이 얼마만큼 반응이 좋을 것인가가 이번 앨범 활동의 성패를 좌우할 듯. 하여간 항상 정이 가는 여성 보컬이기에, 이번에도 기대는 해본다.
