디즈니가 만드는 모든 틴 팝 무비를 다 좋아했던 것은 아니었지만, 적어도 '하이스쿨 뮤지컬' 시리즈와 '한나 몬타나'(라기 보다는 마일리 사이러스), 그리고 '캠프 록'(Camp Rock) TV 영화 1,2탄은 팝적인 것에 거부감이 없는, 미국적 청소년들의 사고에 거부감이 없는 눈으로 보면 참 동화스러운(?) 즐거움이 있는 작품들이었다. 특히, '캠프 록'은 뮤지션을 꿈꾸는 청소년들이 캠프에 모여 함께 수련(!)을 한다는 그 발상부터가 한 번 우리나라에도 이런 청소년 캠프를 도입(했다간 수많은 학부모들에게 욕을 먹겠지만 그래도) 해보고 싶은 멋진 아이디어였다. 

하여간 이 TV영화는 주인공 데미 로바토를 새로운 디즈니의 히로인으로 등극시켰고, 이제 그녀도 벌써 3번째 앨범을 내는 중견(?) 여가수가 되었다. 사실 이 앨범 [Unbroken]은 국내에 소개될 틈도 없이 작년 말 조용히 발매되었지만, 이미 첫 싱글 <Skyscraper>는 Top 10 히트를 했었고, 두 번째 싱글인 이 곡이 4월에 그녀가 '아메리칸 아이돌'에 출연해 이 곡을 열창한 후 반응을 얻어 서서히 차트에서 상승하더니만, 이제 등장 13주만에 22위까지 올라왔다. 데뷔 앨범 때의 록커적 분위기를 좀 죽이긴 했지만, 그녀 특유의 카랑한 톤의 보이스는 2010년대에 켈리 클락슨 이후 케이티 페리와 함께 내가 가장 시원하게 듣는 목소리다.
