마이클 잭슨(Michael Jackson)의 바로 손윗 형이자 한 때는 모타운의 사장 배리 고디 주니어(Barry Gordy Jr.)의 사위이기도 했던(그래서 잭슨 패밀리가 모타운을 떠날 때, 그는 그 곳을 떠나지 못했다.) 저메인 잭슨(Jermaine Jackson)은 데뷔 앨범 속 히트곡 [Let's Get Serious]를 제외한다면 80년대에 와서 마이클의 전세계적 성공이 있은 후에야 새 둥지인 아리스타(Arista) 레이블에서 그 꿈을 맘껏 펼칠 수 있었다. 84년의 셀프 타이틀 앨범에서는 이미 [Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming], [Dynamite], [Do What You Do] 등의 히트곡이 나왔지만, 그 해 말 영화 [Voyage Of The Rock Aliens]의 주제곡으로 기획되었던 배우 겸 가수 피아 자도라(Pia Zadora)와의 듀엣 싱글 [When The Rain Begins To Fall]이 미국에서는 별볼일이 없었지만, 당시 유럽과 아시아 나이트클럽을 강타하면서 그의 히트곡 리스트는 추가되었다. 국내에서는 80년대 중반 서울패밀리의 리메이크 앨범 속에서 위일청과 김승미의 보컬로 번안된 버전이 엄청난 사랑을 받았다. 80년대 유로 디스코의 추억의 명곡!!
