서던 랩퍼 티 아이(T.I.)는 본국에서는 이미 인기 절정에 올라있지만, 그간 한국에서는 힙합 매니아 일부를 제외하고는 그리 많이 주목받지는 못했던 것 같다. (나만 그렇게 생각하는걸까?) 하지만, 이제부터 이 노래 덕분에 그 양상이 달라질 것 같은데, 바로 최근 싱글 차트에서도 대박을 친 리아나(Rihanna)와의 조인트 <Live Your Life>덕분이다. 들어보면, "헉, 이거 현영의 누나의 꿈이잖아?" 라고 생각할 소지가 있는데, 설마 그 곡이 리메이크였다는 사실조차 모르시는 분은 없겠지? 일단 티 아이의 노래-가사부터 소개하고 난 뒤에, 그 얘기는 해 보자.

<Bonus Shot> 사실 이 곡에서 샘플링된 멜로디의 오리지널 버전은 몰디브 출신의 유로 팝 보컬 그룹인 오-존(O-Zone)의 전 세계적 히트곡 <Dragostea Din Tei>이다. 위키의 자료에 따르면 벌써 이 곡은 전 세계 10여개국에서 자국 아티스트들에 의해 번안되거나 샘플링되었고, 그 중에 한국 버전에 해당하는 것이 현영의 <누나의 꿈>이다. 그러면... 보너스 샷으로 오-존의 원곡과 현영 버전까지 추가 뮤비 나간다... (근데 왜 같은 멜로디인데, 티 아이, 원곡에 비해 왜 현영 버전은 딸리게 느껴질까? 누구 책임이지?)
