지난 화요일부터 금요일까지 매일 뻔히 출퇴근하는 곳에서 밤에도 집에 가지 못하고 합숙까지 해야하는 어처구니 없는 상황을 겪었다. 물론 그것이 평가와 연관이 있으니 거부할 수도 없는 것이었지만, 더 힘들었던 건 기존 1달 반동안과 뭔가 다른 설정 속에서 재적응할 틈도 없이 그 평가가 몰아닥쳤다는 것이다. 그리고 이론상 난 이전 설정에서 '챙기는' 자리에 있었고, 여기서도 '챙겨야 할' 자리에 있었으니 상황은 더 적응이 안되었다. 하지만 어쨌든 우여곡절 끝에 평가는 무사히(?) 마쳤다. 그래도 며칠 뒤 중간 개인 평가들이 더 남아있지만....

돌아와 처음 컴 앞에 앉았을 때, 바로 그 예전 설정에 속했던 동료분들께 단체 메일을 하나 보냈다. 1달 반 동안 매일 얼굴들을 보면서 한나절씩 같은 공간 속 상황을 공유했음에 감사하는 메시지를 우회적으로 보냈다. 그리고 어떤 노래를 덤으로 BGM으로 깔까 하다가, 조 카커(Joe Cocker)의 <With A Little Help From My Friends>가 떠올랐다. 함께 겪었던 그 상황들 속 어딘가에서 비록 다른 버전으로나마 함께 들었던 노래였으니. "앞으로도 어떤 다른 설정 속에 있든 그렇게 서로 '작은 도움을 주고, 작은 도움을 받는' 우리들 되자구요. 남은 기간동안."
